Viaduct is partner with a pioneering medical device startup at the forefront of revolutionizing healthcare through innovative robotic technologies. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in robotics to join our dynamic startup team. As an integral member of our engineering department, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical systems for our robotic medical devices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, simulate, and prototype electrical systems and components for robotic platforms, ensuring adherence to safety, reliability, and regulatory standards.
  2. Develop hardware architectures, including selection of components, PCB design, and integration of sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  3. Conduct thorough testing, validation, and optimization of electrical subsystems to ensure performance, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  4. Work closely with firmware and software engineers to integrate electrical systems with embedded control systems and user interfaces.
  5. Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of electrical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  6. Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation, including schematics, specifications, and design documentation, to support regulatory submissions and product certifications.

Target pay range $ 40-65 / hr.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  2. Strong proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle) for PCB design and layout.
  3. Hands-on experience with analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, motor control, and sensor interfacing.
  4. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  5. Experience with communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet) and interfacing with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
  6. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards applicable to medical devices (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 60601) is a plus.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
  8. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
