Job Description

Reporting to the Environmental Manager you will be providing service to our engineering teams. As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will:

  • Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports required by permit(s).
  • Understand and maintain compliance plans and drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate sampling and testing, review and approve invoices, and assure recordkeeping.
  • Minimize environmental risk and costs to Refinery.
  • Be on-call and available to respond to unplanned events such as startups, shutdowns, or malfunctions.
  • Maintain relationships with federal, state and local agencies, including USEPA and HDOH.
  • Manages other environmental programs or special projects as assigned, including but not limited to:
    • Participate in incident investigation and other safety programs.
    • Attending interdisciplinary meetings as Environmental Department Representative
    • Providing field support (general environmental compliance oversight) during plant outages
    • Perform other duties and special assignments as necessary.

The Requirements

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

To be a good fit for the Environmental Engineer opportunity, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field required.
  • Professional certifications preferred.
  • Must have current TWIC

Hiring Range:

The hiring range for this position is $110,000 - 123,000 plus non-discretionary bonus. The candidate selected for this position will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
