IGM Bioinformatics Software Developer I
Overview
Full-time: Main Campus/Remote/Hybrid, Mon-Fri
We are looking for a candidate who can work closely with faculty and staff to design and build efficient instrument-to-interpretation pipelines for next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows, optimizing outcomes for our genomic medicine initiatives. It is expected that the individual in this position will possess strong software development abilities, enjoys solving complex problems and has a desire to make an impact in medical research and patient care. The candidate will also be encouraged to participate in bioinformatics related discussions, group meetings and presentations for the Institute for Genomic Medicine (IGM).

Minimum Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to repeatedly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to occasionally move about inside the workspace to access objects necessary for the job (file cabinets, printers, etc.). Must be able to accurately communicate information and ideas in person and through telecommunications.
