Job Description
What You Will Do:

We are currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Boston, MA office!This person will be involved in building and transportation facilities design and rehabilitation with public agencies and private clients.Come join our team!


Responsibilities:

  • Ability to develop structural drawings in a concise and relevant manner. Proven record of structural design using structural steel, concrete, light-gage metal, wood-framing, and masonry construction materials.
  • Ability to work with various offices and ability to coordinate with various disciplines in a positive and productive manner.
  • Perform field inspections of facilities and transit related structures as needed.
  • Analyze existing structures for retrofits/rehabilitations.
  • Develop gravity and lateral systems for various building facilities and transit related projects.
  • Interface with interdisciplinary design teams and clients.
Education | Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis is required.
  • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering (MS) is preferred but not required.
  • 5 to 10 years of structural design experience required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT required.
  • Massachusetts PE (Structural) license is preferred at hire, but ability to obtain a Massachusetts PE (Structural Engineering) license within 6 months of hire.
  • Proficiency in Ram Structural System, Ram Concept, STAAD, Mathcad, TEDDS and other structural engineering analysis and design related software.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailed orientated with strong people and team skills.
  • Desire to perform project management tasks when needed.
  • Must be capable of field inspection activity such as climbing ladders and using man lifts.
  • Must be capable of performing assigned tasks on active construction sites when needed.
