Job Description

IMA's Employee Benefits Team is seeking an Analyst II to join our Wichita Market team! This position plays a pivotal part in employee benefits marketing and request for proposal process, renewals, third party partnerships and consultations, and underwriting, data analysis.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare request for proposals (RFP) for all administrative services only (ASO) and fully insured submissions to market with direction
  • Collect, lead, and review proposals
  • Update marketing results in Excel to ensure accuracies for internal use and client presentations
  • Request renewals for all lines of coverage and ensure target renewal release dates are met by carriers
  • Review all plans, cost, and contract terms within renewal based on information provided
  • Provide recommendations and work closely with Account Executives in discussions with carriers
  • Establish relationships with carrier and vendor partners
  • Conduct analysis of benchmarking, contributions, network disruption, and GeoAssess and lead outsourcing and ensure reporting needs are met
  • Perform underwriting for dental and vision plans
  • Update monthly claim's report for clients and provide summary of findings
  • Build custom financial and utilization reports when needed
  • Maintain and apply appropriate systems for job functions as determined by department
  • Effectively manage multiple projects while meeting timelines
  • Handle confidential information with tact and discretion
  • Support and demonstrate IMA's core values

Required skills and experiences:

  • 3+ years of similar or related experience required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office Suites with intermediate skills required
  • Attain Life and Health license within first 30-90 days of employment, unless already licensed, required
  • Limited travel required (less than 25%)
  • Experience in underwriting, financial analysis, or actuarial computations required
