Job Description

Summary:

This is a 6-month contract opportunity as a Materials Specialist on our procurement team. The Materials Specialist is responsible for transactional activities utilizing the ERP processes to support production and service demand. This role assists with master data management needed to achieve organizational requirements and deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Updates master data in the ERP system for procurement activities.

  • Executes transactional requirements and demands per the Material Requirements Planning system.

  • Communicates with suppliers on requests for quote and purchase orders.

  • Attends cross-functional meetings and assists with data needed to achieve organizational requirements and deadlines.

  • Learns transactional requirements and demand plans to update cross-functional teams.

  • Measures and reports on various key performance indicators (KPIs.)

Qualifications:

a. Required

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required.

  • Computer skills including the use of standard office software programs including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and email applications.

  • Must be self-motivated with a high energy level and a strong work ethic.

  • Commitment to high standards of excellence and integrity.

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move physical inventory weighing up to 10 pounds.

b. Preferred or Desired

  • American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification.

  • Experience in materials/production management, including Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and bill of materials.

Accuray pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Accuray Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, future potential and internal pay parity.
