The FutureMaker Mobile Learning Lab is a school and community events service, as such, we are a public outreach and support arm of WSU Tech. The role of the FutureMaker Digital Content Coordinator will be the management of our digital presence, including but not limited to content creation, marketing digital services to internal customers, social media management, video editing oversight, and website maintenance.

The FutureMaker Mobile Learning Lab is a school and community events service, as such, we are a public outreach and support arm of WSU Tech. The role of the FutureMaker Digital Content Coordinator will be the management of our digital presence, including but not limited to content creation, marketing digital services to internal customers, social media management, video editing oversight, and website maintenance.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement a robust digital content strategy aligned the FutureMaker Lab’s objectives.
- Design and execute marketing strategies to promote FutureMaker’s digital services to faculty and administrative departments within WSU Tech.
- Curate, create, and schedule content the FutureMaker Lab’s social media channels.
- Oversee the video editing process within the FutureMaker team.
- Manage and maintain the FutureMaker Lab website, ensuring content is current and aligned with organizational goals.
- On occasion, assists students with the operation of devices to increase interest in technical careers (on-the job training provided).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field; preferred.
- Proven experience in digital content creation, social media management, and website maintenance.
- Proficient in video editing software, with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Some familiarity with higher education environments is advantageous.
- Preferred: Previous exposure to and baseline understanding of technical fields, including aviation, manufacturing, healthcare, or other natural sciences, construction sciences or automotive & veterinarian technician.
- Desire and ability to learn how to operate new software and hardware.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills needed.
- Ability to travel within the Wichita and Kansas region as job requires, with occasional overnight stays.
- Ability to use personal computer and software application.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
