Shift: 1st; Monday-Friday
Pay: $25.00-$30.00/Hr.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at JLL!
The Maintenance Technician must be able to perform repairs, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various component of the physical structure of buildings. Primary objectives include safely, efficiently, and in a quality and timely manner, performing maintenance and repairs of the buildings. The Maintenance Technician must ensure the highest level of professionalism and customer service, while meeting the Client's needs. Responsible for protecting and improving the value of the client's assets and ensuring that buildings continue to perform their intended function.

Primary Duties:
Performs maintenance and repairs on flooring, walls, painting, ceilings, and carpentry such as cabinets / laminate tops.
Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.
Maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and door hardware.
Perform general Handyman tasks to maintain buildings.
Perform general roofing repairs, preventative maintenance on roofs, and oversee roofing vendors.
Assist the HVAC/Elec/Plumbing Engineering Teams in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.
General office maintenance - hanging pictures, clocks, general requests.
Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
Provide all other building maintenance, repair, and restorative procedures as directed.
Assist with maintaining, organizing, and housekeeping in mechanical and storage rooms.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Complies with policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintains records for work completed in a neat and organized manner using a CMMS system.
Perform all other duties and tasks assigned.

Job Requirements
Have experience in building structure systems including roofing systems, basic plumbing, flooring, walls, painting, ceilings, doors/door hardware, and carpentry such as cabinets / laminate tops.
Basic understanding of Electrical, Gas, and Steam systems.
Able to stay on task and work independently.
Valid driver's license required.
Speak fluent English.

Knowledge and Skills
Have strong PC skills along with common applications associated with interoffice communication.
Experience in oral and written communications in a concise and timely manner.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, equipment specifications, and O&M's manuals.

Work Environment
Lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights to perform job functions as needed.
Crawl, kneel and stoop, work in small spaces, walking and being on your feet all day.
Wear PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, arc flash / shock protection, fall protection, or other PPE as required.
Work overtime when necessary.

Education / Experience
Minimum of a high school diploma. Trade school or apprentice program preferred.
2+ years of experience in all aspects of building structure systems and building maintenance.
Excellent customer service skills mandatory.
Able to work in a customer service environment interacting with the client.
Experience using a work order system is preferred.
Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written communications.
