Genesys is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager - Technology to join the team that willsupportall technology (XaaS/software/hardware/telco) renewals and projects for Genesys. Thisindividualcontributor will lead high-complexity sourcing projects andmanagesupplierrelationshipswhile working effectively along with the businessleadersand the broader Procurement team. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will providemeaningfulcommercialleadershipincross-functionalproject teams while developing and executingcreativestrategies to ensure work is conducted with rigorous professional standards in full compliance withorganizationalgovernance.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Owns the end-to-end process of managing multiple projects and stakeholders as anindividualcontributor on a teamsupportingthe technology category with the ability to present (formally and informally) to stakeholders, legal, finance,leadership team, etc.

  • Participates in fact-based negotiations andimplementscontracts utilizing approved terms and conditions, while facilitating across multiplesubject matter expertteams in the company.

  • Developsthoroughcategory andvendor managementstrategies and manages overall vendor performance including acting as an escalation point in theeventof non-performance.

  • Manages stakeholders through an effective stakeholderengagementplan byunderstandingtheirneedsand aligning businessobjectiveswithriskmitigation.

  • Primary negotiator on initiatives andguidessourcingevent(RFx), cost analysis/benchmarking, selection process, negotiation, contractstrategyandvendor management.

  • Creates and delivers a range of reports and presentations relating to, and including, savings tracking, project status, savings forecasts and spend profiles to key stakeholders. Ensure metrics and action plan are in place for continuous improvement.

  • Influenceseffectively to ensure businessneedsconsider commercial reality and do not unknowingly compromisevalue.

  • Escalates keyrisksand helps achieve effective resolution.

  • Accountable for quality and timeliness of critical deliverables andcommunicationstostakeholdersand project teams.

  • Manages sourcing calendar ofeventstofacilitatebudget discussions in conjunction with the strategic finance team, IT and stakeholders.

  • Works within a cross-cultural, multi/country team tocollaborateand perform.

  • Embrace a team mentality.Supportthe development of other team members (Specialists or Associate Sourcing Managers).

You will be part of the development and implementation of technology category sourcing strategies to meet challenging business targets, including cost reduction, working capital Improvement, productivity improvement, supplierrelationship managementeffectiveness and supply base reduction. The role carries a very high level ofautonomyto deliverresultswithin anenvironmentwhere processes are currently being developed and implemented.

  • Functional Knowledge of Procurement processes: Category Planning, Contract LifecycleManagement, Strategic Sourcing and SupplierRelationship Management(SRM), StakeholderEngagement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Procurement/Project Managementqualification is desirable.

  • Minimum of 8yearsof experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field, or 6yearsand aMaster's degree, or a PhD with 3yearsof experience or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5yearsof experience in strategic sourcing within a software, IT, or Technology category preferably working at a Tech Company, Private Equity backed, or start-up and working on contracts ranging from $50k-$200m.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience developing process or part of an early-stage Strategic Sourcing team.

  • Able towork independently, as well as work in a team-orientated andexciting,dynamic environment(aka comfortable operating in "they grey").

  • Thoroughpresentation skills including C-suite experience/engagement.

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with using and/or implementing Procurement/Sourcingsolutions(e.g. Workday/Scout, DocuSign, etc.).

Key Interfaces, Internal/External:

  • This important position will require establishing and managingrelationship(s) across many layers of internal and external interfaces.

  • Reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, Technology within the Procurement team.

  • Interfaces withleadersat Sr. Manager, Director, Sr. Director, Vice-President and Senior Executive levels within Genesys from all functions including but not limited to Technology, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, IT, and Sales.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

$83,600.00 - $164,000.00
