INVISTA is seeking a Finance Manager to join our team in Wichita, KS. This role will report to our Finance Director for our Propylene business and will be the primary finance/accounting business partner for our commercial team. This role is the leader of our margin analysis team and will lead a team of 4 Analysts. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills as well as be a problem solver and have critical thinking skills.


What You Will Do

  • Promote an environment of effective partnering with business leaders and various capabilities within the organization to maximize value creation and enhance decision making.
  • Deliver transformative base financial analysis providing insights into the business performance and driving accountability and profitable action, including monthly financial statement review, forecasting process, trend analysis for opportunity identification, benchmarking, and eliminating unprofitable activity across the team and business.
  • Lead early talent to create a high performing team through an emphasis on talent identification, recruiting, development and retention with responsibility for leading and developing a culture of Principled Entrepreneurs.
  • Ensure an effective financial control environment. Identify potential issues/risks and effectively communicate and execute risk adjusted plan.
  • Assist analysts in month end closing and reporting, general ledger account reconciliation and variance analysis.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in a business analysis, finance, accounting, commercial development, or related role
  • Experience in a leadership role (developing a team, leading transformation, coaching conversations, performance feedback, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365; that includes Advanced Excel skills (spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, graphs, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation)
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Experience in a business unit FP&A role
  • SAP or other large ERP, integrated system experience
  • Experience with business analysis and data visualization tools (i.e., PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, Access, SQL, etc.)
