Commercial Roofing Pre-engineered Metal Building Foreman Summary:
Steel Foremen are responsible for leading a Steel crew to perform work safely and productively. Responsible for managing their daily production goals and solving daily leadership challenges for their crew while fostering a positive culture.
Commercial Roofing Pre-engineered Metal Building Foreman Functions/Responsibilities:
- Prepare material prior to assembly.
- Hoisting and guiding components into place using cranes or telehandlers.
- Working from mobile elevated work platforms and operating them.
- Install fiberglass building insulation, metal cladding, standing seam roofs.
- Rig hoist and move material.
- Install insulated metal panels, windows, passage doors.
- Extensive knowledge of hand and power tools (hammers, levels & squares, circular saws, impact drills).
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedules.
- Cut and weld metal sections using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment.
- Supervise and train and develop crew members
Commercial Roofing Pre-engineered Metal Building Foreman Requirements:
- Ability to oversee, promote and execute safety guidelines in accordance with Mahaney Steels Safety Policies.
- Ability to work various hours/schedules.
- Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
- Ability to work with diverse teams.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift/carry 75+ lbs.
- Ability to climb a 40+ft ladder.
- Ability to stand on feet and sit on knees for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, agility test, and drug screen.
- Valid drivers license preferred.
