Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities or on machines and equipment.
Typically performs work carpentry, painting, and / or repair, Uses hand and power tools. Uses
blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
Duties
* Perform work in an efficient manner as assigned. Train in new methods and advanced
technologies as determined necessary and provided by the company.
* Work independently and make decisions to complete assignments.
* Train other employees in the same job classification.
* Enter and retrieve data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
and/or Process Plants Data, order and requisition parts required to accomplish the assigned
tasks and input data as directed by a higher-grade employee or manager except as relates
to inventory, store, record, issue and any other duties related to material support technician.
* Work in conformance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations, blueprints,
specifications, trade practice, shop practice and verbal or written instructions.
* Maintain any licenses or certificates as required by local, state and federal codes and
regulations within the geographical area, as pertains to the individual skill set performing
such work.
* Assist with researching, developing and obtaining new technologies and recommending
training to management which may be required to maintain or improve skills of the
workforce.
* Assist with design and calculation, using appropriate regulation and codes, engineering, and
design specifications, and acquired knowledge, requirement for the performance of assets
and systems.
* Perform preventive maintenance plans (PMs), as scheduled.
