Position Description

We're looking for a full-time, staff Engineering Manager to join our team. This position is eligible for remote work.

Engineering Manager manages the planning, technical scope/equipment development, engineering design review, control and documentation of engineering and maintenance activities. Ensures proper development, design and execution of joint venture programs through the entire supply chain. Responsible for the supervision, formulation, administration and coordination of engineering projects, budgets, policies, processes, methods and procedures designed to improve operating performance, reduce waste and delays and otherwise promote cost reductions on a company-wide basis.

As the Engineering Manager, here's the work you'll do:

* Manage systems engineering efforts for programs including but not limited to ensuring proper specifications and documentation, permit support and design. Ensure proper execution of all suppliers/contractors and provide technical assistance as necessary. Prepares estimate and budgets and review expenditures to control costs. Prepares requests for materials/supplies/subcontractors, etc. Supervises development and submission of reports and correspondence

* Support project schedule development. Evaluate milestones for technical, equipment and documentation deliverables. Review document submittal schedule and equipment on-site. Evaluate prime contract LDs as they effect engineering and ensure schedule is achievable

* Support construction interface coordination. Support the RFI/DCR/FCR process. Integrate construction into early document, model, and schedule reviews. Interface with site field engineering. Coordinate requests and requirements for on-site engineering support. Obtain scoping on master documents for Commissioning. Coordinate transfer of redline documents with responsible engineer

* Supports department and organization leaders to plan, develop, recommend, and implement approved rules, regulations, and administrative department policies. Interfaces with customers to ensure proper specifications and resolve technical issues. Supports the development of the proposal/project technical approach, risk assessment/register as well as assumptions and clarifications

* Establishes office goals and objectives for review and approval as appropriate. Plans work schedules for assigned personnel and provide technical guidance as required. Evaluates work in progress and initiate corrective measures to accomplish established goals and objectives. Manages the development, growth and increased capabilities of the engineering staff

* Define services to be provided including deliverables in alignment with RFQ or RFP. Define and/or clarify DOR. Define points of interface. Assist in defining project technology/technology providers. Define key technical deliverables (e.g., GA, site layouts, and one-lines). Develop and interpret Project Design Data (e.g., site conditions, temperature extremes, and seismic design). Provide input to the procurement/subcontract plan

This role is for you if you have these skills:

* Knowledge of technical engineering requirements of clients, regulations and governmental guidelines

* Cost estimation and budgeting

* Technical proposal writing

* Ability to evaluate and approve design drawings and complicated project plans

* Project management skills

And if you have these qualifications:

* B.S. Degree in Engineering desired or equivalent work experience in related fields required

* Ten (10) years experience in engineering, procurement and construction projects or 5+ years of experience in Engineering Manager role

* Professional Engineering (PE) Certification desirable

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $136,400 - $204,600. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
