Overview / Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Manufacturing Technology Instructor to join our institution's academic team. The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in our core manufacturing technology courses such as OSHA/Safety, Precision Measuring, and Blueprint Reading. Instructor will also be tasked with providing practical classroom, and hands-on training to prepare students for careers in the manufacturing industry. Items of detail would include but not limited to instruction in CNC Operations, Production Assembly, and Manufacturing Processes and Production. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction in manufacturing technology courses, both theoretical and practical, to undergraduate students.
- Incorporate real-world examples and industry case studies to provide practical context and relevance to the subject matter.
- Plan and supervise laboratory and workshop activities related to manufacturing technology.
- Demonstrate proper use of manufacturing equipment, tools, and techniques.
- Collaborate with the program administration and other faculty members to develop and update the manufacturing technology curriculum.
- Identify industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies to ensure the program's relevance and alignment with industry needs.
- Mentor and support students in their learning and professional development, offering guidance on internships, projects, and career opportunities.
- Stay current with advancements in manufacturing technology through continuous professional development activities, such as attending workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- Associates degree in manufacturing engineering, operations, industrial technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field. 5 years of industry experience in a related field in lieu of an Associate’s degree is acceptable.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies, such as CNC machining, robotics, automation, materials science, and quality control.
- Relevant industry experience in manufacturing technology, preferably in a supervisory or technical role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and connect with students.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to curriculum development and program improvement.
- Familiarity with educational technology and instructional tools used in manufacturing technology education is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
